Parasailing has got to be the best way to see the beauty and colours of Exuma. Slower than a plane, quieter than a helicopter and you don't have to have feathers! You take-off and land from a platform on the boat. The rope is 600' long and the highest you will go is 400', (two thirds the length of the rope).   This amazing ride

History of Parasailing
In 1961, Pioneer Parachute Co. started making a modified parachute under the protected name Parasail. They were invented for a cheaper way to teach the military parachute jumping. In the late 60's commercial parasailing was born by Bahamian Doug Prudden in Nassau, as the pristine Bahamas was the perfect destination for this most thrilling and spectacular ride.
